Kings Go Gretzky Era, Ducks Ditch Foot Crest With New Uniforms.

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final spelled the end of the Adidas era in the National Hockey League, but the Fanatics era is already off to a hot start.

Thirty clubs had their sweaters unveiled early on Wednesday, while later in the day the NHL's two southern California clubs — the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks — revealed refreshed jerseys sets.

And both look fantastic.

Let's start with the Kings who had been rocking the same jersey set since the early 2010s, and it was good to them. They won the Stanley Cup twice wearing them.

However, they started to get stale, and the team decided to switch things up with a new set that pays homage to the Wayne Gretzky era.

They officially unveiled the jerseys with a very meta reveal video that includes some serious star power with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Eric Cartman, Colin Hanks, and more.

The crest probably looks familiar, but it's slightly redesigned with a new font, crown, and dimensions. The jersey is similar to the original too, but it looks like there may be a bit of a sparkle to the silver.

The chrome buckets the Kings wore with their alternate get-ups last season? Those are gone, but the home uniform will use a matte black helmet.

Now, for the Ducks…

It was a crime that with one of the best logos of all time in the old "Mighty Ducks" crest the team had that terrible "Duck Foot" logo as their primary mark.

Fortunatley, that has now been rectified, and the "Duck Mask" is back full-time in a slightly redesigned form.

Seeing as they play in Orange County, the Ducks are leaning into the color orange more than they ever have before.

The new home and away jerseys are brand new with the home jersey switching from black to orange.

They'll also become the first NHL team to wear orange pants and helmets when they hit this season.

The Duck foot is staying, but it's now been relegated to a secondary logo and shoulder patch, and it looks much better in that capacity.

It's awesome to see these two teams change things. Both needed shake-ups, the Ducks especially. Their old jersey set? Terrible.

Both of these are great upgrades and when you throw the Sharks in too, all three California teams have completely redesigned their jerseys over the last few years.

We will see both of these sweaters this weekend at the NHL Draft.
