Kevin Durant Takes Shot At Nike After Oddly Being Left Out Of Olympic Ad

Kevin Durant is an international superstar sponsored by Nike, therefore, one would assume that the swoosh brand would feature the future Hall of Famer in its Olympic ad ahead of the Games in Paris. KD himself assumed the same, but it turns out that Nike had different plans.

Nike released an ad titled ‘Winning Isn’t For Everyone | Am I A Bad Person?' that featured a number of different athletes who are set to represent their various countries in Paris. Victor Wembanyama of France, Sha'Carri Richardson of the U.S., fellow NBA stars LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo, and even Serena Williams, who won't be participating in the Games, are prominently featured.

The 90-second ad didn't feature a second of KD, which led him to call out his primary sponsor.

"@nike tell me, am I a bad person?????" Durant posted on his Instagram story while wearing a Nike Team USA basketball shirt.

Durant didn't stop there. He posted a follow-up post to his Instagram story with a photo of him receiving his gold medal during the 2012 Olympics with the captain "Been wit y'all every step of the way @nike."

While it's more than fair to say that Durant isn't the superstar he was a handful of years ago, he's still one of the most well-known athletes on Nike's long list of athletes. KD has only worn Nike shoes throughout this NBA career and has had his own shoe with the company for 15 years.

There is also the fact that just last April, Durant signed a lifetime contract with Nike, further emphasizing his serious question about not being a part of the brand's latest ad ahead of the Olympics.

It would be ridiculous to think that Nike simply forgot to include him in the ad, it instead went the route of showing Kobe Bryant, James, Williams, and plenty of other Nike athletes not named Kevin Durant.
