Keon Coleman Kicks Off First Bills Press Conference By Handing Out Shopping Tips
Keon Coleman isn't just a First-Team All-ACC wide receiver. He's also a smart bargain shopper.
The Florida State product was drafted in the second round (33rd overall) by the Buffalo Bills on Friday. And in his introductory press conference with the team, he gave reporters some solid advice about how to get the best deals on clothing.
Decked out in a big yellow puffer coat, Coleman was asked if he snagged the jacket in Buffalo.
"Nah, man you forget I went to school in Michigan for two years?" Coleman asked. "Guess where I got this from, though ... You gotta guess. You gonna be wrong, though, but guess."
The reporter jokingly guessed he got the coat from Tom Izzo.
"Nah. Macy's. What you mean?" Coleman said. "They be on sale on the rack, all the colors. $79, $89, nice lil' deal. You get the trench coat for like $100. I'll take you there, personally. I might go get some more colors. I need a blue one and another red one."
Another reporter noted that Macy's has great Thanksgiving deals.
"See, I ain't know nothing about Thanksgiving," Coleman responded. "I shop like my mom. I get my coats in the summer time. You gotta shop a season or two before, just in case and it be cheaper. Cause you go in Thanksgiving, everybody in Thanksgiving, you know what I'm saying?"
Then, after finally talking football for a bit, the Bills newest wideout left in search of cookies.
Aside from being pure comedy at press conferences, Coleman is the shiny new weapon Buffalo needed for quarterback Josh Allen. And with All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs now in Houston, Coleman may see plenty of snaps right away.
The 20-year-old played one season at Florida State, posting 50 catches, 658 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games. Before that, Coleman played two seasons at Michigan State. Per Spotrac, he's set to sign a $10 million contract with a $4.1 million signing bonus.
No Macy's sales rack is safe now.
