Kelvin Sampson Ejected In Hilarious Fashion While Up 20

Kelvin Sampson blew his lid Tuesday night against Oklahoma State.

The Houston Cougars head coach got himself ejected nearly five minutes into the second half after an absolutely incredible meltdown on the refs.

However, this wasn't any standard or normal ejection. It happened with the Cougars up 20 points. Yes, Kelvin Sampson found himself going ballistic on the refs to the point he got ejected up 49-29.

Watch the absolutely hilarious moment unfold below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Houston coach Kelvin Sampson ejected against Oklahoma State.

What set off Sampson to cause him to flip out? That remains a mystery. He was asked after the game what sparked the situation, and he claimed telling the truth about what the refs did would cost him $25,000.

Your best guess appears to be as good as mine. I'm *GUESSING* it had to do with contact under the bucket, but it's not really clear.

All fans know for sure is Sampson was absolutely livid, got himself ejected and then refused to talk about it after the game. This is the kind of drama fans crave.

There's also something simply hilarious about a coach getting tossed while up 20 in the second half. I understand getting a quick technical to fire the guys up. That happens all the time.

It's also not what happened here or close to it. Houston was in the process of blowing out the Cowboys when Sampson decided to lose his cool and get thrown out.

Crack a beer and relax, Kelvin. The game was over at that point.

A hardo move through and through from Kelvin Sampson. It might be the best ejection of the season so far. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
