WNBA Refs Embarrass Themselves With No Call As Star Player Gets Mauled: VIDEO

Kelsey Plum got lit up over the weekend, but the refs couldn't seem to find their whistles.

The Las Vegas Aces fell to the New York Liberty 90-82 during a Saturday showdown in Sin City. It was a tough loss for the Aces, but it was even tougher for the team's star guard.

Plum got ragdolled by Liberty player Betnijah Laney-Hamilton, and despite it being one of the most obvious fouls you'll ever see, the refs didn't do anything.

Watch the truly incredible lack of awareness from the refs in the video below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Refs don't call foul as Kelsey Plum gets pummeled.

One of the biggest complaints the WNBA has faced for a very long time is that the officiating is a joke. It's absolutely awful in the eyes of many fans.

Well, it's hard to debunk that perception when Kelsey Plum - one of the faces of the league - gets taken out like she's playing a football game and the refs don't blow the whistle.

Was it malicious from Laney-Hamilton? No, but it was as clear of a foul as you'll ever see in a basketball game. She literally wrapped up and spun Plum around…..and the refs just let it happen.

How is it possible to be paid to officiate a game and miss a call that badly? It's beyond embarrassing.

The refs should go get their eyes checked after missing this foul. At least Plum continues to be a content machine on and off the court. That won't ever change. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
