Trusted Tom Brady Teammate Julian Edelman Gives His Take On Possible TB12 Comeback
The door on Tom Brady's return to the NFL was left slightly ajar after the 46-year-old admitted in a recent podcast interview that he'll take calls if teams reach out. Another saga of 'will he/won't he' is upon us concerning the NFL GOAT.
Julian Edelman, beloved Brady teammate and former Super Bowl MVP, is here to give his insight on whether TB12 will stay retired (he is 46 years old!).

Edelman built quite a reputation in New England, winning three Super Bowls with the Patriots and primarily operating as Brady's security blanket as a receiver.
Regarding guys with an inside scoop on Brady, Edelman's the man. Speaking with the good guys over at Fox News Digital, Edelman completely denounced the idea of Brady immediately returning to the NFL after 23 seasons, seven Super Bowls and the title of best player of all time.
if you ask him, Brady's good right where he's at, which is retirement.
"No, bro! The guy is in St. Tropez right now," Edelman told Fox News. Edelman also discussed Brady's interview on "Deep Cuts," in which Tom, in jest, teased three teams that could potentially pique his interest in returning next season.
Edelman said, "That whole thing with the interview, I saw it. The wording was if someone got hurt late in the season, do you think you can do it? And Tom’s a confident guy. He definitely thinks he can go do it. Is he gonna do it? I don’t think so. Probably not."
(By the way, Brady released a video of him sprinting with no shirt on, looking absolutely ripped … is the comeback really among us?)
It's also worth noting that Brady's current schedule has him tied to join the broadcaster's booth as part of the FOX team, replacing Greg Olsen to take a spot next to lead play-by-play analyst Kevin Burkhardt.
What's left for Tom to do in the NFL? Well, Brady could make an earth-shattering return to the Patriots now that longtime coach Bill Belichick is no longer running things.
The question of whether Tom could win without Bill was answered in Super Bowl 55 when TB12 lifted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory over the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs.
Still, Brady's competitive edge may drive him to make one last statement before hanging up his cleats for good … as if that'll ever happen.
For now, we'll take Edelman at his word. After all, he's a trustworthy target.
