John Cena Joins The Savannah Bananas, Gets Immediately Rung Up: VIDEO

Professional wrestler and actor John Cena just made the biggest move of his already impressive career. He didn't join another movie franchise, rejoin the WWE full time, or decide to launch a new production company with a studio deal.

No, Cena made a much more significant, important decision. To join the world of professional baseball, and with one of the sports world's most influential teams…the Savannah Bananas.

The 46-year-old entered the Bananas home stadium to a raucous standing ovation from the home faithful, before coming up to the plate with an absolutely wild batting stance. Cena switched it up for the second and third pitches of the at bat, trying to get into an absurd crouch to shrink his strike zone.

Unfortunately for him, the umpire wasn't impressed, ruthlessly ringing him up anyway, before celebrating the strikeout in a very unsportsmanlike fashion.

Savannah Bananas Are Always A Good Time

Joining the Bananas shows that, at the very least, Cena’s a good sport. You know what you’re getting into when you sign up to take the field in Savannah, and they executed the classic Bananas playbook perfectly.

Cena still has a successful movie career to rely on, but if he ever actually decides to make a change, the theatrics he learned from wrestling and acting (but I repeat myself), make him a natural fit for performance baseball.

Let’s hope he’s ready to join the Bananas permanently.
