Jets RB Breece Hall Almost Got Into An Airport Fight With A Fan Who Wanted His Autograph

Breece Hall nearly got into a fight in an airport with a fan looking for his autograph.

The New York Jets running back was on his way back from Super Bowl Week last Sunday, and arrived at Newark Airport after flying from Las Vegas. Former New York Giants linebacker and 2-time Super Bowl champion Carl Banks and several others were with him.

As Hall was waiting to grab his suitcase at the baggage claim, a fan approached him and asked for his autograph. For whatever reason, Hall declined to sign the autograph.

That’s when things took an incredibly sour turn. A bystander caught the incident on film and reported it to TMZ..

Once Hall refused, the man started getting visibly frustrated. He even tried to bait Hall into a physical altercation, saying, "So, be a man. If you’re gonna slap me, slap me!"

That’s when Banks stepped in, all 6’4" of him. He calmly told the fan to walk away, despite the fact that the man kept yelling at the group as he walked away.

Frankly, I’m not entirely sure why Hall couldn’t just sign the man’s memorabilia. The whole interaction would have taken less than a minute, and it would have been over with. Nevertheless, he is entitled to say no.

The fan in question would have respected Hall’s decision not to give him his autograph. He had no right to try to provoke the running back into an argument. If the fan had gotten his wish, it would have ended quite poorly for him.

Lesson learned, avoid asking Hall for his autograph in an airport. It could save you a lot of trouble.
