Jessica Hadwin Would Rather Sleep Than Watch Husband Adam Play Golf
Jessica Hadwin loves her husband — but not enough to sacrifice her beauty sleep.
Adam Hadwin is playing in The Open Championship this weekend, but since the tournament is taking place at Royal Troon in Scotland, fans in the United States have to wake up before sunrise in order to catch the action live. And that's just something Jessica isn't willing to do.
"I’m blown away reading how many people on here are getting up in the middle of the night to watch golf," she posted on X Wednesday night. "Y’all are sick lol."
The first group teed off at 1:35 a.m. on the East Coast, while Adam's group got started a bit later at 4:14 a.m. But since the Hadwins live in Scottsdale, Ariz., it was 1:14 a.m. local time for Jessica.
But golf fanatics in Jessica's comments said they were more than willing to lose sleep over the final major of the season. That includes ESPN's Dan Orlovsky, who responded "I'll be up at 3am ET absolutely."
Jessica replied with a Larry David meme that read, "Go to a hospital!"
Mrs. Hadwin eventually showed a little remorse, telling another person, "This brings me a little guilt as I’m choosing sleep over watching my husband in a major."

For the record, Jessica is pretty funny on social media and regularly takes playful jabs at her husband while he's playing.
This time, though, she didn't miss much. Adam Hadwin finished the first day of The Open tied in 83rd position alongside 12 other players after ending four over-par. At the time of publication (with Round 2 still underway), the 36-year-old has fallen to T-117 and is not projected to make the cut.
