Jerry Jones Flirts With Bringing Bill Belichick To Dallas Sometime In The Future

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones remains bullish to one day work with ex-Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Not long ago, rumors circulated that Belichick could potentially replace Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy if the organization decided to go in a new direction, suffering another failed season under McCarthy.

Jones and Belichick could've been a pairing, but the organization stuck with McCarthy.

Now, Jerry Jones is teasing a Belichick-to-Dallas connection. Speaking with Yahoo Sports, Jones shared that he holds zero doubt of one day welcoming Belichick to Dallas. And somewhere, McCarthy listens, tormented by Jones' flirting with Belichick.

"I know him personally, and I like him," Jones shared on Wednesday. "There's no doubt in my mind we could work together. None. None."

On its surface, Jones loves the potential of bringing the great Belichick to Arlington. But could a head coach with heavy influence on personnel mesh with Jerry Jones, the executive?

Despite three 12-5 records in Dallas, Mike McCarthy's job status remains on a shaky foundation as postseason failures continually mar his regular-season success.

With Belichick out of New England, six Super Bowl wins later, Jerry Jones was reportedly intrigued by the potential of a coaching shake-up, possibly looking at Belichick to replace McCarthy.

Ultimately, the Cowboys couldn't pin all their disasters on McCarthy and committed to another year.

The pressure only mounts for McCarthy as his owner gushes over a different head coach.
