Jason Kelce 'Virtually Guarantees' He Has CTE, Antonio Brown Weighs In
Jason Kelce made a strange revelation on Thursday — virtually guaranteeing he has CTE. Now, CTE poster boy Antonio Brown is welcoming him to the club. And how we got to this point is even more bizarre. So buckle up.
It all started when Kelce made a lengthy post on Twitter / X, speculating that Secretariat was on steroids. Widely considered to be the greatest racehorse of all time, Secretariat won the Triple Crown in 1973, and he broke records by winning the Belmont Stakes by 31 lengths.
"The fact this horse had unparalleled muscular stature and died with an enlarged heart, and raced at a time when steroids were extremely prevalent, without adequate testing, raises flags in my book," Kelce wrote.

Kelce's race horse post led to author and thoroughbred enthusiast Jay Privman doing some hypothesizing of his own. He quoted the former Philadelphia Eagles great's post, word-for-word, only replacing "Secretariat" with "Jason Kelce" and "steroids" with CTE.
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, or CTE, is a progressive degenerative disease affecting people who have suffered repeated concussions and traumatic brain injuries. And, apparently, Kelce does believe he has it.
"I mean I can virtually guarantee that I have CTE, all the research would suggest I have some degree of it," he responded to Privman. "I think it is entirely reasonable to assume I have some degree of that pathology."
Naturally, Antonio Brown jumped all over that statement. After aggregator @_MLFootball tweeted out Kelce's self-diagnosis, the former All-Pro wide receiver commented: "First step is admitting it."
Safe to say Roger Goodell and the NFL did not love that one.

For what it's worth, Privman said he was stunned over the response to this social media exchange, and he posted a follow-up to let everyone know he was not actually accusing Jason Kelce of having CTE.
Privman wrote: "It was obvious to me I was making an outrageous, completely over-the-top, word-for-word comparison to his unfounded Secretariat tweet, not saying he was brain damaged."
