Jake Paul's Private Jet Struck By Lightning On Flight Back To Puerto Rico: VIDEO

Jake Paul thought he had ventured too close to Mount Olympus last night, and with good reason.

The YouTuber turned boxer held a press conference with Mike Tyson in Arlington, TX, on Thursday, in advance of their July 20th fight. After the eventful presser between the two ended, he spent some time in New York City before heading back to his home in Puerto Rico via his private jet.

But he almost didn’t make it back, not safely anyway.

Somewhere in between The Empire State and the Caribbean island, Paul and his friends on the jet ran into some serious thunderstorms. One of the lightning bolts from the storm struck the plane, which made the passengers lose their minds and prompted Paul to offer a prayer to Zeus, who just so happens to be the Greek god of thunder and lightning.

"Zeus, I love you brother," Paul said as he folded his hands.

The post sparked widespread reaction, with one person commenting and saying that this was a precursor to his fight with Tyson.

"First hit from Mike Tyson," the fan said.

"I’m flying spirit from now on," another quipped.

"Why did I think it was gonna be lightning McQueen again," someone else chimed in.

Fortunately, the crew landed safely with no other major disturbances, which means the fight is still on.
