NBA Guard Isaiah Thomas Shares Wild Account of Having AK-47 Pulled On Him

NBA free agent Isaiah Thomas sounded the alarm on America's ‘violent’ youth.

I.T. shared on his social media Tuesday that he and his friends experienced a "life-changing" moment when a young man went up to them and pulled an AK-47 on them.

In a strange twist of flattery, Thomas added that the kid recognized him and decided to stand down.

The 5-foot-9 NBA guard sounded relieved by the experience as he posted about it on social media. Thomas provided no reasons or locations.

Thomas' resounding message in this post was a call to straight out our nation's youth over encouraging them to embrace violent behavior.

"Really trippin on how these young kids are moving around!!! I really had a life changing moment yesterday where a kid pulled a AK47 out on me and the homies and if it wasn’t for who I was and him recognizing me in my own city he probably woulda ended all of our lives. Be SAFE," Thomas posted on X.

"We just gotta pray for these young men!!! God was working yesterday frfr. Damn it coulda all been over that quick smh. FOR NO REASON AT ALL!!!!!"

Surprisingly, Thomas took his post down hours later, fueling some doubt about the validity of his tale.

The 35-year-old free agent has been in the league since 2011, originally drafted by the Sacramento Kings. Thomas experienced a surge in scoring during his stint in Boston, earning two All-Star selections with the C's. In 2017, I.T. led the Celtics to an Eastern Conference finals and was seemingly in line to receive a max contract until he was shipped out of town in a trade for Kyrie Irving. Thomas briefly returned to the Phoenix Suns this season on a 10-day contract, eventually signing for the remainder of the season. Prior to second stint with the Suns, Thomas had been putting himself out there for two years, pushing for another NBA contract.
