Iowa Coach Caught On Hot Mic Yelling After Losing To Nebraska
Iowa basketball coach Lisa Bluder appeared to be absolutely livid after losing to Nebraska over the weekend.
The Cornhuskers pulled off a downright shocking win over the Hawkeyes. While everyone was watching to see if Caitlin Clark would break the scoring record, the Cornhuskers methodically erased a significant Iowa lead to pull off the comeback win.
Well, Bluder lost her cool after the game, and one of her main beefs was the fact Nebraska's band appeared to play sad trombone music while Clark was shooting free throws. It's worth noting a source told OutKick he believes it was the in-house audio - not the band - responsible for the noise. Either way, somebody was playing something that was clearly picked up by the broadcast.
Iowa coach Lisa Bluder caught on hot mic yelling after Nebraska beats the Hawkeyes.
Following the game, a mic from Owen Siebring picked up Bluder fired up and cutting it loose over how the game turned out - specifically the music during Clark's free throws and not going first at the podium.
"You've got to be kidding me. We got a flight to catch. This is bullsh*t. This is not Big Ten protocol. They play music while you shoot free throws," an irate Bluder could be heard shouting.
As Siebring pointed out, the visiting team usually goes first for press conferences, but that didn't happen Sunday.

Lisa Bluder wasn't happy after Nebraska beat Iowa.
It's definitely safe to say Bluder was not pleased with the situation she was dealing with after Iowa lost to the Cornhuskers. That's the voice of a very angry coach.
While she initially brought up not being in the press conference first, it seems like the sad trombone music is what really got under her skin.
It's hard to blame her. Playing music while a player is at the line is outrageous, especially considering it happened late in the game and Clark missed.
I also must admit that Caitlin Clark has turned Iowa women's basketball into must-watch TV. She's the most gifted college basketball player I've ever seen. Her scoring and passing skills are downright unbelievable, arenas on the road sellout to watch her play and her coach is out here getting picked up on hot mics going wild.
Are you not entertained? I definitely am, and I know there are a lot of people who feel the same.
Next up is Michigan this Thursday night. Count on Caitlin Clark to break the scoring record and there to be plenty of eyes on her when it happens. Hit me at David.Hookstead@outkick.com with your thoughts on Clark and the Hawkeyes!
