HBO Max Drops Trailer For 'Hard Knocks: Offseason With The New York Giants'
When the "Hard Knocks" trailers start dropping, you know that NFL season is right around the corner! On Tuesday, HBO Max premiered the trailer for "Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants" which features some very intriguing storylines.
The Giants grabbed one of the gems of the NFL Draft. They picked LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers with the #6 overall pick and many analysts believe he was the best receiver in the draft, despite Marvin Harrison Jr. going #4 overall to the Arizona Cardinals.
It's also going to be interesting to see if they cover the drama that unfolded with tight end Darren Waller.
The team acquired Waller last offseason via trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, but Waller abruptly retired after one underwhelming season in blue and a split from his WNBA wife, Kelsey Plum.
Then, there's everything going on with quarterback Daniel Jones. The team signed him to an extension last offseason, but he reverted to his previous form in 2023-24 after a stellar 2022-23 campaign.
They also signed stud pass-rusher Brian Burns to a lucrative contract to have him anchor a relatively young defense.
And those are just the player personnel changes. Head coach Brian Daboll completely revamped his coaching staff and is considering assuming play-calling duties with the team, something he did as an offensive coordinator in Buffalo, Miami and Cleveland.
Add it all up and the New York Giants are a fascinating team. It's going to be very interesting to see what HBO Max and "Hard Knocks" were able to capture from what was a very compelling offseason.
