'Hawk Tuah' Has Taken Over Baseball Broadcasts

It's the summer of Hawk-Tuah, and we're all living in it.

In the past week, Hailey Welch has been thrust into viral stardom after becoming known as the ‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ after mimicking a sexual act while being interviewed on Broadway in Nashville. The result has led to Welch becoming one of social media's biggest craves right now and also benefited herself financially, with over $65,000 in "Hawk Tuah 2024" merchandise sold in just a few days.

But Hawk Tuah has now gone from the depths of TikTok algorithms into Major League Baseball.

During yesterday's Braves vs Cardinals game, the Braves television broadcasters were talking about one of the players trying to spit and how it landed on the shoulder of their jersey.

"Hawk Tuah!" Braves PBP Brandon Guadin shouted before adding, "let's do it again!"

It's unclear if Guadin's broadcast partner understood the spitting-sound reference, but you can be sure that baseball fans on social media did.

HAWK TUAH MADNESS

That seals the deal everyone.

The Hawk Tuah movement is officially here to stay (that is until we get tired of it.) So I want to ask you all to reference it any time you sneeze or spit in the future.

Forget "Ah-choo" we are now going with "Hawk Tuah!" for all mouth-related sound effects.
