Harrison Butker Women's Jerseys Sell Out After Viral Commencement Speech
The NFL no longer has any Harrison Butker Kansas City Chiefs women's jerseys in stock.
Butker has dominated the news over the past few days after giving a commencement speech at Benedictine College focused on traditional values and Christianity.
Specifically, some people are outraged he suggested getting married and having a lot of kids would lead to more happiness for women. He spoke highly of his own wife and praised her for helping him develop as a man. Agree or disagree, it's clear he believes in family.
Yet, that hasn't stopped people from trying to ruin the NFL kicker's life, but the efforts seem to be failing!
NFL sells out of women's Harrison Butker jerseys.
Some women who support Butker's message have responded by buying his jersey. The jersey shot up the best-selling rankings at the NFL store Thursday, and as of publication Friday, all of the women's jerseys are out of stock.
Even attempting to build a custom women's jersey from a blank one with Butker's name and number only gives a small as an option. The same is true for all custom female jerseys, which would indicate blank jerseys aren't kept well-stocked.
All we know for sure is plenty of women are showing up and showing out to get a Butker jersey as the mob tries to ruin his life for expressing his beliefs.
This is also a great example that a small minority screaming on social media doesn't represent everyone. If you just listened to the outrage mob, you'd think Harrison Butker is a monster with no support. In reality, he's a devout Christian who is open about his faith and plenty of people agree with him.
The fact his jersey is flying off the shelf is a sign people don't just support him, but want to do it publicly.
Interested women will now have to wait for his jersey to be stocked again before getting their hands on one. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
