NFL Team Takes Dumb Shot At Harrison Butker In Schedule Release Video

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is under attack after giving a commencement speech at Benedictine College promoting Christian and traditional values.

There are multiple petitions to ruin his career, he's been doxxed, the media is crushing him, and the NFL released a statement against him.

And now even the Los Angeles Chargers are taking a shot at him.

The Chargers took a swipe at him – along with many other teams and players – in their schedule release video.

The Kansas City Chiefs kicker's speech touched on core values such as families being stronger when women embrace motherhood, and men need to find amazing life partners. There were some political elements, but most of the outrage centers on Butker promoting his rock star wife for being a homemaker.

So of course, the Chargers schedule release video shows a person in a Butker jersey in the kitchen. The short snippet is clear in its intent.

It's making fun of Butker for believing women belong in the kitchen - something he literally never said. You can watch the video below starting around the 2:55-mark.

This is just stupid. There's no other way to sum it up. What exactly did Harrison Butker do to deserve getting mocked by a rival NFL team?

Push conservative values? Push pro-life values? Push traditional family values? I'm genuinely curious because the outrage is so over the top that it's nauseating.

Everyone is free to agree or disagree with whatever they want. Nothing Butker said was insane for a Catholic school with an audience that is very receptive to his views.

Who were the Chargers hoping to impress with this video? Sure they mocked others, and I guess some people on social media enjoyed it, but I doubt normal people in America will care. The outrage and backlash directed at the Chiefs kicker needs to be toned down. He gave a speech about his views. Nobody has to like it. Time to relax and move on.
