Georgia's Football Team Makes Embarrassing Social Media Error

Georgia made an unfortunate mistake when announcing the team's homecoming game.

Homecoming is a big deal for universities with big college football programs. It gives alumni from across the country the opportunity to return to campus for a game, reconnect, drink a few beers and have a hell of a fun time.

It's always a great time, and you'd think given the stakes, Georgia would have nailed its announcement. Well, you'd be wrong.

You'd be very wrong.

Georgia messes up homecoming announcement.

Georgia announced its homecoming game late last week, but there was one major error with the announcement.

The graphic states Auburn will be playing Auburn on October 5th for the team's homecoming game. Don't believe me?

The tweet is somehow still up days later. Take a look below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Just in case Georgia eventually wises up and deletes the tweet, we'll have this screenshot forever. Auburn vs. Auburn in Athens on October 5th. Don't miss it!

The funniest part is that the tweet wasn't immediately deleted, despite the fact many people are roasting the hell out of it on X.

The only way Georgia's football team is unaware of this mistake is if nobody ever checks the social media accounts, which seems unlikely.

It's the little things in life that are fun to laugh at, and Georgia messing up such a simple thing is definitely a reason to chuckle. Better luck next time to the Bulldogs. It seems like they're going to need it.
