Fans Give Tom Brady Positive Reviews After Brief Appearance In The Booth At UFL Title Game
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Tom Brady was at the championship game of a professional football league.
Okay, you got me, he wasn’t actually playing in the game (every NFL fan outside of New England and Tampa Bay just breathed a massive sigh of relief). For the first time in his life, Brady was actually high above the action as an analyst with Fox Sports.
He was alongside Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt, briefly appearing to call the United Football League (UFL) Championship Game between the Birmingham Stallions and the San Antonio Brahmas (which Birmingham won, 25-0).
While his appearance was brief, he nonetheless handled his duties very well (would you expect anything less from Tom Brady?). He discussed how he believed that both offenses needed to play more loosely, and the Stallions eventually listened to the G.O.A.T’s advice.
Of course, not everyone was pleased with Brady’s stint in the booth on this Sunday afternoon. But hey, you can’t please everybody.
Conversely, there were plenty of fans who proved they have good taste and applauded the future Hall of Famer for his time on the mic.
Regardless of whether or not you like his style as a broadcaster, he’s not going anywhere soon. He signed a 10-year, $375-million contract to broadcast games for Fox.
Frankly, I can’t wait. Seeing football through the G.O.A.T.’s eyes on a regular basis? Sign me up.
