Ex-Spurs Guard Faces Second Domestic Violence Arrest In A Year
(Warning: Details concerning strangulation included)
Ex-San Antonio Spurs guard Bryn Forbes has been accused of choking an ex-girlfriend and was arrested in Bexar County on Tuesday, stemming from the disturbing claim.
Details of Forbes' arrest noted that the 30-year-old appeared at his ex-girlfriend's apartment on Monday and strangled the woman, including grabbing her throat and striking her head.
After breaking into the woman's apartment, Forbes put his hands on her throat and mocked her as she stated that she couldn't breathe. The woman alerted authorities after breaking away from Forbes. He shares two children with the alleged victim.

Forbes faces a 3rd-degree felony charge of assault strangulation/choking, according to the San Antonio Express-News. Forbes' bond was set at $7,500.
Forbes played seven seasons in the NBA. The undrafted guard out of Michigan State (2016) last appeared in the NBA in 2023, briefly staying with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves waived Forbes on Feb. 9, 2023 — days before the guard's first arrest related to domestic violence.
On Feb. 15, Forbes was accused of ‘repeatedly striking’ his then-fiancee, Elsa Jean. Facing his second assault accusation, Forbes' time in the league is surely finished.
