Ex-NFL Executive, Pro Bowler Arrested On Several Domestic Violence Charges

Former NFL safety and Carolina Panthers executive Adrian Wilson has been dismissed as VP of player personnel by the team after his arrest in Scottsdale, AZ, on June 1.

Wilson faces misdemeanor domestic violence charges, including assault and disorderly conduct.

Wilson also played in the NFL for 12 years, spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, and played his way to five Pro Bowl selections.

The Panthers abruptly announced their separation from Wilson over the weekend, issuing a statement without sharing the reason. Wilson joined the team in his VP role in 2023.

"Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers," the team's statement read. "Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment."

Wilson gained consideration for the Jacksonville Jaguars' general manager role in 2022 amid the team's shakeup in brass. After retiring in 2015, Wilson worked for the Cardinals' scouting department until 2022. His next court date is scheduled for July 16.
