Former NBA First-Rounder Royce White Gives Compelling Message On Supporting Trump: 'It's Not Even Close'

Royce White, an outspoken former NBA first-round pick, has fearlessly expressed his unwavering support for Donald Trump.

Ahead of Trump's anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday, White is reminding people why he's standing for Donald Trump in the upcoming election, despite past and current scrutiny.

NBA insider "Scoop B" Robinson caught up with Royce White — who's now playing for Ice Cube’s Big 3 Basketball league in Baltimore, Maryland. Scoop asked the hooper about his intended message behind writing "Trump" on his head for others to witness and other strong political messages. White gave a passionate response in supporting Trump.

LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW:

"The message is, I think Donald Trump would be a better presidential candidate. I don't even think it's close. The issue is not even about the presidency. The issue is about the ideas."

For White, choosing to vote for Trump means supporting his vision of a united America rather than blindly aligning with a political party.

In recent years, White has fought to bring back common sense to an increasingly divided nation.

White has written messages on the side of his head during games, including "Trump 2024" and "Free the Uyghurs." The latter statement has been a thorn in the NBA's heel for some time as the league continues accepting money from China (a purveyor of modern-day genocide against Uyghurs) while supporting social initiatives in the States.

White, who's also running for the United States Senate, made a poignant point about electing a president who values America's unique constitutional rights for its citizens, alluding to current President Joe Biden's hot-button issue on border security.

He added, "The idea that ‘citizenship’ is of value should mean a lot to black people. If you're not a citizen, you can't have rights. Why would black people want to trade our national rights, our constitutional rights for global rights? Are you a global citizen? Are you a citizen of the whole world? Hell no. You're not a citizen of the whole world. There's no such thing as global citizenship.

"Constitutional rights. If you don't have a border, then you don't have a country. If you don't have a country, then you're not a citizen. If you're not a citizen, then you can't have rights. So the issue comes down to fundamental things like that. It's not even about Trump or Biden personally. It's about the ideas."

White believes that Trump can once again drain Washington of its corrupt politicians, which is why he's made fearless public displays for his support of Trump against plenty of critics.

"Yeah, I’m done with the Democrats, we’re done with them," White added.
