Even New York Giants Players Hate Their New Throwback Jersey

It's not just New York Giants fans that can't stand their newly unveiled throwback jerseys.

Speaking with a reporter on Monday, Giants first round draft pick wide receiver Malik Nabers didn't even pretend to take a liking to them.

"It's going to be hard to swag it out," Nabers said after being asked about the team's "Century Red" 100th commemorative season uniforms.

"I don't know how I'm going to make it look good."

You're not alone there, Malik, as many Giants fans overwhelmingly responded with a "Huh?" when the team unveiled the hideous looking red, white and blue jerseys with tan pants that were retired long ago for a reason.

Newly Unveiled Giants Jerseys Getting Ripped

The Giants will wear the new uniforms for two games during the upcoming season as the franchise celebrates 100 long years that saw the team win four NFL Championships and four Super Bowls.

Besides the fact that they just look awful, the main criticism has been that the team decided to combine three different eras into one. The jersey will be replicated as the same one that the Giants wore in 1933. The ‘winged’ helmet is based in 1938 and the pants are from 1925. Oh, and they also look like a cheap rip-off of the Montreal Canadians sweaters.

For former LSU star and the newly drafted Malik Nabers however, he's hoping that his opponents only get to see the back of the jersey - once he passes them and is on his way to the endzone.
