Enes Kanter Freedom Calls Out LeBron James For Lack Of Integrity After He Reaches 40,000 Points
LeBron James became the first NBA player to reach 40,000 points on Saturday, but Enes Kanter Freedom wasn’t impressed by that.
The Los Angeles Lakers forward did a spin move on Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. for a layup that got him to the historic mark. Fans in attendance cheered loudly for the man who extended his record-setting career points total.
But Freedom wasn’t one of those people happy for James, not by a long shot.
Instead of congratulating James, the former center who last played for the Boston Celtics used the opportunity to call out "The King" for his love affair with China.
As we all know, James has advocated for Nike on different occasions in China, something that Freedom has criticized him for in the past. Additionally, James once called former Houston Rockets owner Daryl Morey "misinformed" for sending a tweet criticizing the CCP. The Lakers forward is a sellout for the communist nation in every way you could possibly imagine, hence the "integrity" tweet.
Naturally, lots of NBA fans came to James’ defense on Twitter. Many of them highlighted how Freedom has a bounty on his head in Turkey (as if that has to do with anything), while others pointed out his lack of a job in the NBA.
Freedom’s NBA job status isn’t entirely his fault. After calling out China on multiple occasions, the league basically ostracized him and prevented him from playing again.
Not to be outdone by all the trolls, Freedom responded with a zinger of his own after a flood of comments poured in.
NBA fans tried to dunk on Freedom for his opinion, but he stuffed them at the rim. The man still knows how to play defense even though he’s been out of the league for a few years.
