Travis Hunter Takes Fans Behind The Scenes At Photoshoot For Cover Athlete Of EA Sports College Football
You can go ahead and prepare your excuses for a work absence on July 19, as EA Sports has officially released the cover art and date for the new video game's release.
Thanks to Travis Hunter, fans are getting a behind the scenes look at how the cover shoot all came together. Alongside Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Michigan's Donovan Edwards, the Colorado two-way star has been holding onto this video for the last two months, as the announcement was made Thursday.
One of the most electrifying players in college football, Travis Hunter is making a splash for the 2024 season by signing an NIL agreement with EA Sports for him to be on the cover. While it's not known how much money each cover-athlete made in their contract, every player that participates in the game will be paid $600, along with a copy.
"It means a lot to my family, the little kids that look up to me, my fans back home," Travis Hunter said about what it means to be on the EA Sports CFB cover. " I mean, it's a lot. I remember growing up and watching them play this game, waiting for the drop in 2014 for it to come out, so it means a lot. I still play the old 2014 version on my computer, so just ready for ‘Road To Glory.’"
As for the photo and video shoot that took place at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, there were a number of actors dressed in school uniforms, alongside the three cover athletes. Taking in the full video, it won't take much to get you excited for July 19.
As for who Travis Hunter thinks should be on the Heisman Trophy stage following the 2024 season, the Colorado star was quick to take up for his teammate Shedeur Sanders.
"Me, Shedeur (Sanders), Quinn (Ewers) and Donovan (Edwards)," Hunter said in the behind the scenes video.
When it comes to playing for Deion Sanders, alongside both his kids, Shedeur and Shilo, Hunter pointed out how funny Shilo Sanders is on the field while they're playing.
"I get this question a lot. It's great to play with Coach Prime and his kids," Hunter noted. "I mean, Shedeur is a great quarterback, he knows what i like to do. And Shilo (Sanders), he's funny and goofy on the field, so it's fun to play next to him cause you can't always be serious."
All Fun And Games For Quinn Ewers
As for Quinn Ewers, you could tell he was enjoying the moment with the videographers at the photo-shoot. The Texas quarterback was certainly not going to risk and injury, or embarrassment when it came to throwing down a move during the shoot, but the smile on his face said it all.
"I would if I could, but unfortunately i don't have the same athletic ability as number twelve (Hunter) over there," Quinn Ewers said when asked if he was going to try the same backflip as Travis Hunter.
Now, with game set for release, Travis Hunter was looking to make money off playing the game with Ewers, while streaming it on his social account, Ewers admitted he needed to start streaming, which is when Travis Hunter laid out the business plan.
"Bro it be so easy. You'd be making so much money you'll be like ‘what the hell’. Just me and you play, and then when NCAA come out, then we can make an online dynasty and me and you can play against other people."
Seems like the pair already have a plan, while the gaming world and college football fans are just waiting to play the first exhibition contest in the new game.
Get that PTO taken care of, the return of EA Sports college football is nearly here.
