Draymond Green Implores The Indiana Fever To Get An Enforcer To Protect Caitlin Clark

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green knows exactly what the Indiana Fever need after watching what happened to Caitlin Clark on Saturday.

In case you missed it, Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter hip checked Clark to the floor in the third quarter of their game against the Fever. On the previous possession, Clark appeared to say something to Carter, but the Chicago guard certainly went overboard in her response.

The play sparked lots of reaction online, with many people calling out Carter for her unnecessary roughness and Angel Reese for her over-the-top celebration of the reckless play.

But one of the biggest surprises for the whole incident was that no one on the Fever responded to Carter for her actions. Granted, the collision happened as everyone but the inbounder was heading down the court. But you’d think that someone on Indiana’s roster would respond with something (anything!) later in the game. Nonetheless, that’s not what happened.

After seeing this lack of a response, Green shared his thoughts on an X post from ESPNW. Green sharing his thoughts is always a risky thing to do (given that many of them are ridiculous), but this time, it actually made sense.

The Warriors star said that the Fever should get someone on their roster who would stick up for each other.

"Indiana better go invest in an enforcer… FAST!" he wrote on X.

Given that Clark is hated by many WNBA playera, this might actually be a good idea.

They shouldn’t emulate how Green defends himself or his teammates on the court (given that he chokes and slaps people), but Clark is clearly the victim of a lot of physical play on a fairly regular basis. If the Fever want to protect a player who’s arguably one of their best, they need to get people around Clark who will protect her.
