Doris Burke Pokes Fun at Caitlin Clark Discourse
ESPN's Doris Burke made a not-so-subtle nod to the Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark newfound status as the WNBA's punching bag.
While never seriously injured, Clark's been shoved and challenged by opponents in her early WNBA career.
Clark was the target of another hard foul over the weekend when Chicago Sky's Angel Reese swatted at Clark's head for a Flagrant 1 foul.
Reese's ongoing discourse with Clark — rivals since college — prompted all kinds of discussions.
Have Reese and fellow WNBAers gone too far?
Is Caitlin Clark getting a pass from the media as a headline darling?

Burke referenced all the talk around Clark after Dallas Mavericks' PJ Washington had a rough foul on Boston's Kristaps Porzingis. She poked fun at the excessive conversations surrounding Clark.
"If that were Caitlin Clark, it might spark a debate for a week," Burke said.
The reactions to Clark's targeting in the WNBA have prompted all kinds of answers.
Some are calling for Reese and fellow Clark adversaries to be fined or even suspended for their extra contact.
Others are calling for people to ‘chill’ and let Clark get hazed, like any other rookie.
