Deion Sanders Send Blunt Spring Break Warning To Colorado Players

Deion Sanders isn't playing games when it comes to Colorado players returning from spring break.

Spring break is a popular event for college students across America. They get to travel to different areas of the country, decompress and recharge ahead of the semester ending and simply have some fun.

However, it doesn't excuse people from their responsibilities and obligations. Spring is when football teams start to come together and figure out who they are.

It's an incredibly important time of year, and Sanders is making one message clear. Show up late from spring break, and you're done.

Deion Sanders issues blunt spring break warning to his players.

"Right now, I’m thinking about when we get back [to Boulder] and check in on Sunday. I pray that everyone checks back in, and no one is screaming they missed a flight. That’s why we tell ’em to be back on Saturday, so you’re already there for Sunday. But guess what? There’s always somebody, and they’re locker’s going to be naked. If you know what that means, it's a wrap. If you can’t do the little things in the offseason, how are you going to do the big things in the season? It's all a decision and a choice," the Colorado head coach said in a recent video released by Well Off Media.

Props to Deion Sanders for drawing a line in the sand. Colorado finished last season 4-8 and went 1-8 in the team's final nine games.

A season that started with so much hope and optimism ended in absolute disaster and disappointment. Sanders is willing to do just about anything to make sure that doesn't happen again.

That means making sure his players show up on time and ready to roll for spring ball. As he said, if you can't do the little things, then how will you do the big things? He's 100% correct on that point.

Whether you like Sanders or not, the Colorado coach hit the nail on the head with his comments here. Let me know if you agree at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
