Deion Sanders' Sons Slam Players Leaving Colorado With Blunt Comments

Shedeur and Shilo Sanders don't seem to care about Colorado players rushing to the transfer portal.

Several Colorado players have rushed to the portal over the past few days. None bigger than former five star recruit Cormani McClain, who failed to make any impact with the Buffaloes.

In total, sixteen players from the Buffs have entered the portal since April 16th. That's a significant number of guys, but Deion Sanders' sons aren't sweating it.

Shedeur and Shilo Sanders react to Colorado exits.

The Colorado coach's sons addressed the media Thursday and made their stance on guys leaving clear:

The blame rests solely with those exiting the program - not those staying or the coaches.

"If you’re good, you’re going to play. A lot of people talk about favoritism stuff, but I’ve seen that at other schools that actually might be like that. I promise you if you’re good you’re going to play, you’ll have more of an opportunity here to legit actually display your skills," Shilo told the media, according to Denver Sports.

His brother and the team's starting QB added, "If you’re not playing here, that just means you’re doing something wrong. If you’re not playing here, that means you’re doing something—not listening to the coaches or something."

Shilo closed things out with, "Not everybody sees behind the scenes in practice and we know who these guys really are. They might get on Instagram or Twitter or say something but it’s not like you’re even doing anything bro. Y’all don’t know what is going on at practice every day because you just see highlight plays here and there but we practice every day almost. We know who is who and if somebody was done wrong we would know that," according to the same report.

The message is clear. They're obviously not worried about guys leaving, but should they be? Colorado went 4-8 last season after starting 3-0.

It was a brutal and unforgiving collapse that was nothing short of embarrassing. Now, the team is bleeding talent ahead of year two for Deion. There's definitely reason to be concerned.

However, if they got out and dominate and win a bunch of games, then everyone will forget this mass exodus. If not, then the conversation in Boulder might take a darker turn. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
