Deion Sanders Embarrasses Himself With Idiotic Comments

Deion Sanders doesn't seem too focused on the things that actually matter ahead of the season starting.

Colorado is coming off a brutal 4-8 season that saw one of the worst collapses in recent college football memory. The Buffaloes started 3-0 and had the attention of the nation. Deion's team finished 1-8, and you'd think the only thing he'd be focused on was how to make sure that doesn't happen again.

He might be focused on that, but there's also something else he's wasting time talking about:

Video games.

Deion Sanders complains about "College Football 25" ratings.

The top 100 players in "College Football 25" were revealed earlier in the week, and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders (93) and CB/WR Travis Hunter (96) both made the list.

I'm sure it was fun for Colorado fans to see two players in the top 100, but it's not something members of the team and coaching staff should care about. Yet, Sanders does and he wants to know why they weren't rated higher.

"I’m just trying to figure out how can Shedeur be tied with another person. How did that happen? And how can Travis not have the highest score on the game when he’s arguably the best receiver and the best defensive back in college football? So, how can you not be the number one rated guy, period? I don’t understand that either," Sanders told the media during the Big 12 media days, according to On3.

This seems like a good time to remind everyone, once again, that Colorado won four games last year. Four. Four total games.

Am I making that point clear? It's not like the Buffaloes went out and went 11-1 and then won a huge bowl game. Colorado was awful last season. One of the worst teams in major college football down the stretch.

Sanders talking about video game ratings is beneath him, and he should know that. As a Wisconsin man, I would lose my mind if Luke Fickell was wasting time talking about "College Football 25" after a 7-6 season. That's three more wins than Colorado had, and I still don't want to hear that nonsense.

Now, don't get it confused. I'm amped up and excited for "College Football 25." As I've said many times, I went out and bought a PS5 just to play the game. Next week can't get here fast enough.

Guys like me should be excited. We're in the content trenches. We live for this. We're not D1 football coaches coming off a 4-8 season.

Between Shedeur declaring Colorado everyone's Super Bowl and Deion wasting time talking about video games, it really does seem like the Buffs are setting themselves up for disaster. We'll find out soon enough. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com
