David Carr Oddly Declares That George Kittle Is Hotter Than Travis Kelce

NFL Network's David Carr sounds like a huge fan of George Kittle's … perhaps too big a fan.

Carr paid Kittle a bizarre compliment Monday, ahead of the NFL's Super Bowl Opening Night festivities in Las Vegas.

The former NFL quarterback had to throw in a Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce reference while picking a player he hoped to see Monday for the opening event.

"George Kittle. I'm glad Taylor Swift is out of the country because if she sees George Kittle, she may rethink the tight end she chose."

Where the heck did that come from?! Even Carr's co-hosts had to jump in and remind Carr that Kittle's already a taken man, alongside his wife, Claire Kittle … making Carr's reach for the Kittle-Kelce comparison befuddling. The investigative sports media, folks.

"What a weirdo," one X commented, said in reaction to Carr's comment.

Of course, since it's Super Bowl week and Travis Kelce continues to dominate headlines as Taylor Swift's arm candy, networks won't be able to resist shoehorning the Hollywood couple.

From Amazon documentaries on the Kelce brothers to their uber-popular ‘New Heights' podcast, Travis Kelce's much more in the cogs of Hollywood than Kittle, which likely makes him more of a match with the international pop star.

Then again, who isn't falling head over cleats for this Traylor romance? Even NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had to declare himself a "Swiftie" after looking at the NFL's bank statements since Taylor started to generate significantly more buzz around football.

Lead NFL Writer Armando Salguero reported on the media session with Goodell to kickstart OutKick's Super Bowl LVIII coverage.

But let us know (see below) … Claire Kittle or Taylor Swift? Sound off: alejandro.avila@outkick.com.
