F1 Drivers Daniel Ricciardo And Yuki Tsunoda Give Their Super Bowl Picks
Formula 1 team Visa Cash App RB (I know, it's an awful name; we're just going to need to get used to it) was in Las Vegas this week to debut their new car, the VCARB-01.
Despite the horrible name, the Red Bull-owned team unveiled what is one of the best-looking cars we're going to see on the grid this season.
There are some serious Toro Rosso vibes, and I'm all about it.
Surely, Daniel Ricciardo will love that the team's new color scheme is the same as the one used by the Buffalo Bills, his favorite NFL team.
Speaking of which, with the team in Sin City for the big reveal, the NFL pulled Ricciardo and teammate Yuki Tsunoda aside for their takes on the Big Game…
…y'know, the Super Bowl.
It started with Ricciardo explaining the rules of football to Tsunoda about as succinctly as I've heard anyone do it.
"Basically, you want to get from one end to the other," Ricciardo said.
I mean… he's not wrong.
The drivers — who are two of the biggest characters on the grid — were also asked who their favorite players are.
Unsurprisingly, Ricciardo is a big Josh Allen guy, and as for Tsunoda, he'll be watching his favorite player Christian McCaffrey in the Super Bowl.
Yuki also thinks McCaffrey is going to absolutely pop off like no one has ever popped off in a Super Bowl before.
"I think Christian McCaffrey will have a 50-0," Tsunoda said. "Smoke the other team."
Ricciardo, on the other hand, had a more measured prediction.
"28-24," he said. "I feel like it's gonna be Chiefs, but let's go Niners."
Tsunoda and Ricciardo will be back in Sin City later this year when Formula 1 comes back to town for the second edition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
