Dana White Details UFC at Las Vegas Sphere And It Sounds Awesome

It was only a matter of time until you knew it was going to happen, as Dana White had set his eyes on bringing the UFC to Las Vegas's Sphere in the ultimate power move.

In a new interview, the UFC President detailed what MMA fans can expect when UFC 306 takes place at the newly unveiled Vegas Sphere arena, which is the world's largest spherical structure - and how fans can thank Tom Brady for having a hand in it as well!

UFC WILL HOST A PPV AT THE SPHERE IN SEPTEMBER

"This whole thing goes back to Tom Brady. Tom Brady called me and asked me, ‘Want to go to U2 together? They're playing at The Sphere," White told Shannon Sharpe..

"We go to the Sphere, I'm sitting there, I'm looking around and I'im seeing how amazing this place is - the technology, everything and I'm like, ‘I have to do this.’ Literally, when we left I called my head of production and said get the team together, you are all going to U2 next weekend because we are doing this here."

The 360 degree interactive event space stands at 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide while seating 20,000 - which Dana White says he can't wait to represent the energy that the UFC brings.

"Why would I do this to myself? Right," Dana asked before answering his own question in true Dana White fashion. "This is the kind of thing I love to do. I love t obey first, I love to push the limits, I love to do things that people don't think are possible… because everyone is like ‘How are you going to pull off a sporting event in the Sphere, it doesn't even make sense."

Dana had a simple response to the doubters and haters: "In September I'm going to show you how to do it."

‘IT WILL BE THE GREATEST LIVE SPORTING EVENT’

White went on to say that he has already spent $16 million on the Sphere event but that it's going to be game-changing for the live event industry.

"Anybody who comes in after me at the Sphere is f***ed!" White exclaimed about the upcoming pay-per-view event. "This will be a one-and-done event and it will be the greatest live sporting event that anyone has seen with the greatest technology anyone has ever seen as far arenas go."

Although it may seem like Dana White is just talking, he has delivered on his promises before. When the entire sports world shut down because of COVID, White promised that he would get a UFC event to take place and did so - to much hysteria and backlash. UFC's "Fight Island" in Abu Dhabi was launched with multiple events taking place as Dana was able to silence the critics - something no other sporting event was able to do at the time.

Although no card has been officially named yet for the Sept. 14 event, Dana White says that it will feature prominent Mexican fighters as part of the Mexican Independence Day celebration weekend.
