Dan Dakich: Stephen A. Smith 'Is The Joe Biden Of Television' Because He's A 'Liar'

On Monday, Stephen A. Smith went on a bizarre rant on ESPN's "First Take" and said "white folks" can't comment on his J.J. Redick reporting. OutKick's Dan Dakich took extreme offense to Smith's racially-charged commentary and didn't hold back.

First, here's what Smith said Monday:

"Black coaches called a black commentator to complain about a black superstar doing a podcast while his black head coach was on the hot seat before he ultimately lost the damn job," Smith said. "What does that have to do with white folks? Some things are none of your damn business."

There's a lot to dive into there, but I'm going to let my friend and colleague Dan Dakich take it from here.

During Tuesday's "Don't @ Me With Dan Dakich" on OutKick, Dakich called Smith a "racist" and a "liar" and even compared him to the President of the United States – and not in a positive way.

"Black coaches allegedly [texted Smith], which I say allegedly, because he's clearly a liar," Dakich said. "Stephen A. Smith is the Joe Biden of television."

Dakich's comments refer to the original report that Smith made on "First Take" when he said that black coaches in the NBA were upset that LeBron James did a podcast with J.J. Redick during this past season.

But Dakich wasn't done.

"Steven A. Smith is a race-baiter. That's all [he] has," Dakich continued. "He has shown that he knows nothing about basketball by being on ‘NBA Countdown.’

"The whole idea of ‘white folk stay out of this’ is complete bullshit," Dakich added a hypothetical scenario. "Then, Stephen A. Smith, you stay your ass out of Caitlin Clark and all of your African-American colleagues stay your ass out of little white girl stuff.

"Imagine how that would go over if somebody said, 'hey, Steven, stay your ass out of hockey. Stay your ass out of anything where white people are involved… How about white people stay your ass out of listening to Stephen A. Smith?"

Smith's commentary simply reeks of racism, even though that's something that he professes to fight against. And Dakich didn't let him off the hook for that.

"This really pissed me off because I can't stand racism," Dakich concluded. "I think all the people like Stephen A. Smith are deep down incredibly racist."
