Content King Dan Campbell Puts Athleticism On Display During Training: VIDEO

Lions coach Dan Campbell had some high energy during training camp Wednesday.

Campbell has completely changed the culture in Detroit after decades of awful seasons at the team's worst and mediocrity at its best.

The team came within one bad half of football from playing for the Super Bowl last season. I'm not sure that's something anyone could have imagined just a few years ago.

What is one of the best attributes about Campbell? The man is incredibly high-energy, and he hasn't lost a step going into 2024.

Dan Campbell rocks up downs at Lions training camp

Campbell is notorious for getting in on the training during practice. After all, the man spent 10 years on different active NFL rosters. He loves the game. It's a part of who he is, and that includes getting the heart pumping during training camp.

To the surprise of nobody, Campbell was ripping up-downs with the team Wednesday. Check out the awesome video below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

How big of a football guy is Dan Campbell? Not only is he doing up-downs with the team, but he also appears to be wearing a compression sleeve on his leg. Are you not entertained?

Imagine any other coach in the league showing up to not just do up downs, but make sure his leg is stabilized while doing so. You probably can't, and I don't blame you.

Campbell seems to think he's 28-years old - not a couple years short of 50. Yet, that's the energy and passion that has resulted in players and fans completely buying in.

He wants to get in the trenches with his guys. Hell, if he was allowed to wear pads and get in a game, he probably would. After all, we are talking about the man who seriously tried to get a live lion roaming Detroit's sideline.

As a Lions fan, I've never been more excited for a season than I am for the one starting in September. This Lions team has the pieces, Campbell has proven the team can win under him and it's now time to find out just how far the Lions can go. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
