WWE Commentator: Could We Eventually See Jake Paul In The WWE With His Brother?

Could Jake Paul join forces with his brother Logan to eventually become a WWE tag team?

According to WWE Friday Night Smackdown commentator Corey Graves - never say never.

"If I'm being totally honest, I'd start counting down until Jake Paul shows up," Graves told me during an interview promoting this weekend's WrestleMania 40 event in Philadelphia. "I don't think it would happen anytime soon with the Mike Tyson fight brewing, but on a long enough timeline, we have to have the Paul brothers competing in the tag team division at least once or twice."

'EVERYONE HAS AN OPINION ON THE PAUL BROTHERS’

Despite Graves saying that he doesn't have any insider information, an eventual tag team of the Paul brothers absolutely makes sense.

Both Jake and Logan Paul are two of the most polarizing celebrities as well as athletes out there. Everyone has an opinion about them - usually for the worse, which makes them the ultimate wrestling characters. In the wrestling world, the hardest thing to do is to make the fans ‘feel’ an emotion - needless to say the Paul brothers have no problem doing that. The duo are routinely referred to as annoying, arrogant, cocky and, in Jake Paul's case, you have die-hard boxing fans that truly believe his normalization of pseudo-fights against MMA fighters has ruined the sport!

It's worked for Jake as he has been able to build a brand that went from doing YouTube pranks and skits to now boxing Mike Tyson in an upcoming Netflix match that is expected to bring in millions of viewers. Not too shabby for the 27-year-old.

Meanwhile, Logan Paul has already made serious headway in the WWE. After teaming up with The Miz during WrestleMania 38 in 2022 to mass praise from even the harshest skeptics out there, Logan has continued his wrestling career and will now wrestle at WrestleMania 40 in a triple-threat match against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton for the United States championship.

LOGAN PAUL FIGHTS FOR THE WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP

"The Paul brothers - especially with all those international deals and how huge the WWE is right now [it makes sense.] The fact that Jake has already boxed overseas in Saudi Arabia and with the WWE connection over there and the massive Netflix deal that the WWE announced would only be that much more beneficial [with both brothers in the WWE,]" I told Graves, who also praised Logan's wrestling talent.

"I would admit I was as guilty as probably many of the guys and girls in the locker room and asked "What is this? Logan’s going to come in and take someone's spot and someone's not going to be allowed to be a part of WrestleMania this year because this influencer wants to wrestle," Corey said.

"Well, Logan Paul has fed us all a bunch of crow… Logan is an anomaly. I think what he's been able to do is show the world and continue to prove to the world that he is who he says he is. You can't make a mockery of the wrestling business and still be asked back in these high-profile situations [unless you're good.]… People-want to see Logan fail, but he steals the show, it's inspiring… I think the world of Logan Paul."

JAKE PAUL WILL BOX MIKE TYSON IN JULY

As Corey previously mentioned, fans shouldn't expect Jake Paul to come out this weekend at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field and suddenly start bodyslamming people, especially since he's scheduled to fight Mike Tyson on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. But there is one event that might make sense should the Paul brothers want to continue expanding their empire into the world of professional wrestling.

"It just dawned on me while we were having this conversation - Summerslam is in Cleveland this year. That's where the Paul brothers hail from. Just saying, I don't know, and I promise you that I don't know anything that you the fans don't know, but I'm putting it out in the universe," Corey said.

"Maybe Jake Paul, the problem child, will be in the WWE sooner than later."

If so, you can guarantee people will tune in. And I for one, will be booing him relentlessly in pure heel fashion.
