Latest 'College Football 25' Update Is Great News For Gamers

A staggering number of college football players will be featured in the upcoming video game.

"College Football 25" hits shelves July 19th (July 16th for early access), and hype is off the charts for the first college football game from EA Sports since 2013.

Thanks to NIL rules, players can finally earn money, and unlike previous versions of the game, the new one will feature actual players and their likeness.

"College Football 25" opt-ins are booming.

With the game coming out in less than a month, it's time for things to get locked in and finalized. The good news is the only notable holdout remains Arch Manning, according to On3.

Furthermore, On3 reported that more than 14,000 players have opted in. If there was any fear your favorite player or players wouldn't be in the game, you can breathe easy.

This is music to my ears. There was some concern about how many players would opt into the game in return for $600 and a free copy.

In my mind, it seemed like all players should opt in for literally any price. It's a great exposure opportunity. When Arch Manning declined to join the game, it was the first sign that many players might not be interested.

Fortunately, that did not happen. The train is chugging along, and it's not stopping or slowing down for any reason. Either get a seat or get run over.

Stay tuned for some extensive coverage once the game drops in July. My girlfriend might not be too pumped about me disappearing to build a dynasty…….but the boys are buzzing! Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
