'College Football 25' Top Teams Revealed, And The Internet Has Thoughts
The rankings for teams in "College Football 25" are finally out, and it has the internet buzzing.
The first college football game from EA Sports in 11 years comes out July 19th (July 16th for people who paid for early access), and gamers can't wait. That includes myself. I'm buying a PS5 just to play this game. That's how amped up and excited I am.
There are plenty of people who feel the same way, and we've been diving in on any and all details released by EA Sports.
That now includes the rankings in the game.
EA Sports Drops "College Football 25" team rankings.
The rankings for the game dropped late last week, and Georgia came in at number one. Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama and Texas rounded out the top five.
Notably, Michigan and Missouri were both absent from the top 10. You can check out the rankings below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
Just like when the top offenses and defenses were released, people on social media had plenty to say about the rankings.
EA Sports releasing information little by little ahead of the game's release is pretty smart, and it's working very well.
Social media lights up every single time new data is released. It's an automatic way to get people debating and talking, and the team rankings weren't an exception when the numbers dropped last week.
Everyone seems to think their favorite team is being disrespected and their rivals are getting too much love. It's just like real life!
Colorado coming in at 16th is a wild move from EA Sports. Why is a team that went 4-8 last season getting that much love? Doesn't make sense at all. As a Wisconsin man, I can even admit the Badgers being at 18 seems like a bit much.
We're under three weeks out from the game hitting shelves, and I speak for fans across the country when I say we're ready to roll. I'm going to be playing it around the clock once it's downloaded. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
