Social Media Reacts To New College Football Video Game Coming Out

College Football fans are fired up about a new video game coming out this summer.

EA Sports announced Thursday that "College Football 25" is officially happening at some point this summer, and there will be a full release update in May.

The announcement sent shockwaves through the college football world. How could it not? It's been more than a decade since the last game - "NCAA Football 14" - dropped.

Fans have dreamed of the greatest video game series ever made returning. That's what is happening this summer, and it's a reason to celebrate.

College football fans celebrate new video game coming out this summer.

I hopped over to Reddit to see what people were saying. Just as I expected, there was a mega-viral thread with college football fans going wild.

Check out some of the best reactions and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com:

  • If game is good, the NCAA 14 scalpers are about to be in the breadline.
  • Rare good offseason news for this sport
  • I'M F*CKING PUMPED MAN.
  • I’m about to win so many championships with Kennesaw State
  • Me when video starts: "no gameplay so far so who the hell cares." Me later on: "IS THAT THE SPARTY FLAG PLANT OMG."
  • Folks, we may be back.
  • I am cautiously optimistic for this. Really hoping the added years of development will pay off for a unique game and return to the glory days.
  • I'm praying that this game was made by a team of massive nerds that post on this sub and/or team message boards every day.
  • I prayed for this, and it happened

There were also plenty of electric responses on X. Did you know people were excited? It's pretty obvious to me and everyone else paying attention!

The game still doesn't have an official release date, but an educated guess makes me think it will be at some point in July.

That will give fans plenty of time to start building a dynasty before the first week of college football kicks off. I can already see the virtual trophy case being filled with national title trophies.

I can't wait for the full reveal in May and for the game to drop. Definitely let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
