Coaches Blame Cam Newton For Starting Brawl At 7v7 Football Tournament

Cam Newton is receiving blame for the viral fight at a 7-on-7 football tournament on Sunday.

To no one's surprise, the opposing side's coaches are pinning the blame on the NFL QB, banking on his spotty history in terms of conduct, even if the fight was one-sided.

Newton was entangled in the one-versus-mob showdown, which involved Newton throwing guys to the side like a lineman and holding his ground, Jack Reacher-style. Guys flew in with punches and clung to Newton to topple the behemoth. Somehow, Newton never went down for the count.

Fox News Digital spoke with TopShelf Performance 7v7 coaches TJ and Steph Brown, who were physically involved in the fight with Newton.

They called out Newton for taunting the coaches and personnel leading up to the brawl, placing all the blame on the 34-year-old free-agent QB.

Sunday's tournament took place at Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy in Atlanta, GA. TJ and Steph said Newton heckled them during a run-in in the parking lot.

"Sunday comes, I’m walking through the parking lot, walking to the field," TJ shared.

"Cam jumps out of his car and yells, ‘Hey, all that sorry s**t ain’t gonna work today. What we betting today? What we betting?'"

Brown's team beat Newton's "C1N" team on Saturday, the day before the taunts began. "I’m like, ‘I ain’t betting you, bro. I already beat you three, four times. You got to beat me first.'"

Despite the Newton-esque behavior alleged by the men, their statuses have also come under question for physically assaulting the QB. If not for his distinguished physical advantage, Newton could've suffered major injuries in a 5-on-1 fight. Newton did impress folks on the internet in his berserk state, running through the men like a bull in Pamplona, and doing it all with an outrageous top hat from a Tim Burton film.

"It just should never have gotten to that," TJ Brown said.

Cam's 7-on-7 team, "C1N Red," ultimately won the tournament on Sunday for a $5,000 prize. Using his brute force at 6-foot-5, 245-lb., Newton arguably won the fight. Newton commented on his team's celebratory post, hours after the fight occurred.

"LOVE," Newton commented.
