CNN Ridiculously Asks Karie Jean-Pierre If Harrison Butker Is Still Invited To White House
Thanks to CNN another noteworthy event happened Friday involving Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker.
If you’ve read OutKick's work over the past few days, you’ll know that we’ve covered a lot of reactions to the Kansas City Chiefs kicker’s speech at Benedictine College. You know, the one where he called out President Joe Biden, the LGBT agenda and implored men and women to be more committed to building families.
As you might expect, that speech has sparked a lot of conversation and reaction, some positive, some not so much. CNN had their own reaction to it, and because it's a liberal propaganda machine, the network wasn’t a big fan of the speech.
So Friday, CNN's MJ Lee asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre a question about Butker and his speech. And while it was predictably ridiculous, it was nonetheless discouraging.

Lee asked Jean-Pierre if Butker is still invited to the White House for the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration later this year. To her credit, the press secretary said that Butker is still invited to join his team for the ceremony.
"So can you confirm — you said everyone on the team is obviously invited. Is the Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker welcomed at this White House?" Lee asked.
"What I can say is we invite the entire team and we do that always. I don't have anything beyond that," Jean-Pierre replied.
While it’s great that the White House isn’t blacklisting Butker for his speech, the fact that CNN would ask this question is nothing short of ridiculous.
Whether you agree with them or not, there’s this thing called the First Amendment that allows him to say those things without being punished for it. It should be a given that any championship athlete should be allowed to visit the White House, even if they have differing views than those in office. You can’t punish athletes for exercising a constitutional right, regardless of what their beliefs are.
There is no official date set for Kansas City’s presidential visit. But until further notice, Butker has the opportunity to go.
Hopefully, that doesn’t change.
