Chiefs WR Rashee Rice Sued By Crash Victims Involved In Hit-And-Run

Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice has been sued by two motorists involved in the multi-car collision that occurred in late March in Dallas.

Rice faces eight charges stemming from the collision, including six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving severe bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault, as noted in a statement by the Dallas Police Department.

The collision involved four additional vehicles and injured seven people. Two victims involved, Irina Gromova and Edvard Petrovskiy, are suing Rice for $10 million in punitive damages, reportedly suffering an extensive list of injuries, including facial lacerations and wounds that required stitching.

A video surfaced showing Rice and others involved fleeing the scene after the crash in Austin, Texas. Further details on the scene noted that authorities discovered 10 grams of marijuana in Rice's abandoned Lamborghini left on the shoulder of the expressway.

Rice was racing in a Lamborghini against SMU cornerback Teddy Knox, driving a Corvette also registered under Rice's name. Rice was traveling at speeds over 110 mph.

As reported on OutKick, "the Lamborghini involved in the accident was traveling 119 miles per hour just four-and-a-half seconds before the collision, which started with a sedan and started a chain reaction that involved another three cars.

"The Lamborghini was going just a bit faster than the Corvette it was allegedly racing, which the affidavit says was going 116 miles per hour just 7.5 seconds before the crash, but the driver managed to get it slowed down to 91 miles per hour 1.5 seconds before the collision."

On Monday, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid commented on Rice's offseason troubles. Reid noted that Rice will remotely participate in voluntary offseason programs.

"I'm leaving that like we've done most of these for the law enforcement part to take place and then we will go from there with that," Reid said.
