Former NFL QB Roasts Himself For Being A Bit Chunky In College With Hilarious Tweet
Chase Daniel isn't afraid to poke a little fun at himself.
Most NFL fans know Daniel as the QB who successfully finessed his way to nearly $42 million in career earnings, despite playing very limited snaps. He started a grand total of five games and earned generational money.
Don't hate the player. Hate the game. Daniel got paid a bank vault and didn't have to do much to earn it. He's a shining example of the American dream.
However, prior to being a legendary backup, Daniel was a star for the Missouri Tigers and a Heisman finalist in 2007. He took fans down memory lane with a truly hilarious tweet.
Chase Daniel pokes fun at himself for his appearance in college.
A random person tweeted a photo of Daniel looking a bit chunky during his days at Missouri with the caption, "You mind if I go 2008 Chase Daniel mode this weekend?"
The former Bears QB took the tweet in stride, and elevated the situation with a truly hilarious response. Daniel fired back with his college routine to make sure the guy has the most accurate weekend possible:
- Gain 15 pounds,
- Grab a 30-rack of Keystone Light (I can literally smell it as I type it out).
- Order one of everything on Taco Bell's menu.
- Find a way to the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

I don't know much about Chase Daniel's personality, but after seeing this tweet, I have a very solid feeling this dude would be an absolute blast to party with.
Life is short. Don't take yourself too seriously. I can promise that you're not going to make it out alive. Have some fun, crack jokes and embrace self-deprecating humor. That's exactly what Daniel did here, and it's going mega-viral.
His college routine also sounds like an absolute blast for any dude in college. A 30-rack of Keystone Light was always a guaranteed way to have a blast. It was cheap, light and you could drink them like water. As I said above, the smell is literally coming back to me as I write about the beer, despite not having one in probably 12+ years.
As for Taco Bell, there used to be a time when you could feast there for about $15, and it seems like Daniel did it more than once or twice. More power to him. Taco Bell is amazing after a few beers, and anyone who says otherwise is lying.
Major shoutout to Daniel for giving the internet something hilarious to laugh about. I might need to find a way to drink some beer with this guy because he seems like an awesome time. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
