Arrest Warrant Issued For Lions Cameron Sutton 13 Days After Alleged Domestic Incident
An arrest warrant has been issued for Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton in the state of Florida on a domestic violence charge. The warrant is for aggravated - domestic violence and comes 13 days after the alleged incident took place.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (FL) asked folks on social media to help locate the 29-year-old. Officials said he was last seen driving a Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
According to Lions beat reporter Justin Rogers, Hillsborough County police were contacted at 4:30 AM on March 7 regarding a domestic incident involving Sutton. The victim's name has been withheld, and despite multiple attempts to contact Sutton, authorities have not been able to locate him, hence the release of the warrant issued on X, formerly Twitter.
A user on X replied to Hillsborough County's arrest warrant post asking if authorities have checked the Lions' locker room, and the social media manager behind the account had quite the reply.
Sutton, a former third-round pick out of Tennessee, joined the Lions in 2023 signing a three-year, $33 million contract with Detroit. He spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
During his first season in Detroit, Sutton appeared in 17 games and picked up 65 total tackles, one interception, and a forced fumble.
