Caitlin Clark Mania Is Headed To NASCAR, Fever Star To Appear On Car Paint Scheme
Caitlin Clark is one of those rare athletes who has been able to transcend sports with her popularity. I don't just mean that her popularity and influence are transcending the world of sports, I mean they're bleeding into other sports that are completely different than basketball.
And now, she'll be a small part of the NASCAR Cup Series when she is bestowed the distinct honor of gracing the hood of Josh Berry's No. 4 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Stewart-Haas Racing this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
There's a lot of excitement for this race at the Brickyard because it's the first time the Cup Series cars have been on the iconic track's oval in years, and it'll be the first time that the series' current Next Gen car has a go around in Indy.
So, why not up the excitement by slapping the most talked about athlete in Indianapolis (and probably more than a few other cities) on the hood?
I certainly can't think of a reason not to.

The No. 4's primary sponsor of the weekend is Panini Trading Cards, and that's the connection that brought Clark's image onto the car's hood. Clark has an endorsement deal with Panini Trading Cards.
By the way, having your mug plastered on a Cup Series car has to be like getting knighted times ten. I can name a bunch of people who have been knighted but I've been racking my brain over who has had their actual face on a Cup Series car and I can't really think of any.
Therefore, it's harder to get your face on the hood of NASCAR than it is to get knighted.
These are facts. You can't argue with numbers.
Who knows how long this deal has been in the works, but it looks like Stewart-Haas Racing is breaking out the big guns as they march toward the end of its final season in the NASCAR Cup Series.
