Caitlin Clark Joins Michael Jordan To Have Exclusive Wilson Basketball
Caitlin Clark will soon be in driveways, gymnasiums and playgrounds across the country as the star women's basketball player has signed an exclusive agreement with Wilson sporting goods.
Just how big of a deal is this? The only other athlete to previously sign with Wilson was Michael Jordan back in 1980.
The company has signed a multiyear partnership with the Indiana Fever's No. 1 draft pick star that will also allow her to be an "ambassador across the globe," as her silhouette will be on WNBA Wilson branded basketballs.
CAITLIN CLARK ENDORSEMENTS KEEP COMING IN
According to Wilson, Clark's ambassadorship will allow her to "test, advise and offer her opinions" on other Wilson products and apparel. She will also have her own collection that will include various merchandise including a basketball. The ball will include "classic white and gold WNBA basketball with personalized laser engravings celebrating some of Clark’s history-making moments," including the "logo triple that helped her break the all-time NCAA scoring record, according to Boardroom.
Each Wilson basketball will cost $49.95.
OTHER CAITLIN CLARK DEALS INCLUDE NIKE, GATORADE
Clark has played in all 4 games for the Indiana Fever this season, who still remain winless. She is averaging 17 points, 4 rebounds, 5.5 assists while shooting 33 percent in three-pointers.
The Wilson deal is the latest of a plethora of big names that are trying to get in on the Caitlin Clark buzz that has taken over women's basketball in recent months. She recently signed an eight-year, $28 million deal with Nike for a signature shoe.
