Caitlin Clark Goes Viral For Classy Gesture To Teammates, And It's Exactly What Sets Her Apart

Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark continues to set the bar for humanity.

I'm not sure if that says more about us – grown adults – or her, a 22-year-old. But that's neither here nor there.

Point is, the electrifying guard has taken over the entire college basketball world this year one point, and one record at a time. In fact, she just set another one last night! How many are left? Can't be that many, right?

Anyway, on the heels of a convincing win over Penn State in the conference tournament, Clark is once again going viral – and this one had nothing to do with the actual game.

It may be more important, though:

This is why Caitlin Clark is so likeable

For those who don't know – and Lord knows I didn't – that would be rapper Travis Scott. He's a big deal, and so is Caitlin Clark, which would explain the pregame picture on the court.

And it's simple – Clark calling her teammates over to join in – but it's also powerful. And, frankly, also not guaranteed in today's world.

(Quick, hide that video – don't show the racists over at USA Today!)

I'm obviously not speaking from experience, but it would certainly be easy for all the fame and power to go to Clark's head. She's been on top of the college basketball world ever since her little scuffle with Angel Reese last spring, and it's only getting bigger.

I don't even like basketball. I despise the NBA. Hate it. Won't watch it. I really don't watch college basketball until about a week from now.

But Caitlin Clark has become must-see TV every single night.

I think moments like this are part of the reason why, too. So many superstar athletes are so hateable in 2024.

LeBron. Megan Rapinoe. Travis Kelce. Caleb Williams. I could go on forever and ever.

But this little gesture from Caitlin Clark sets her apart, at least for now. No clue if she'll stay like this over the next few years when the fame is sure to grow (although will it in the WNBA?), but it's nice to see now.

PS: Clark wasn't even that good last night (2-14 from beyond the arc) and still finished with 24 and 10. Not bad.

Animal.
