Caitlin Clark Proves She Really Is Different As She Expresses Her Love For The City Of Cleveland

Caitlin Clark isn't just different in the sense of her all-world abilities on the basketball court, she also has an affection for the city of Cleveland, Ohio.

While Detroit far and away gets the worst rep of any city in the United States, Cleveland is a close second. Many Americans would probably throw in St. Louis, Memphis, and either Seattle or San Francisco on their lists of Top 5 Worst Cities in the U.S.

Clark, on the other hand, wouldn't have Cleveland on her list.

Ahead of Iowa's Final Four matchup against UConn in Cleveland on Friday night, the Hawkeyes' superstar gave a glowing endorsement of the city.

"It’s been really cool. We went to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last night. I think you could stay in there for about a week and still have more things to do," Clark told the media. "I’ve never been to Cleveland before. It’s been awesome, honestly. It feels like, low key, kind of just a bigger version of my hometown, Des Moines, Iowa. It’s just obviously a bigger city.

"I’m excited to play here. Honestly, with LeBron James being like the face of Cleveland and being able to play here where he first started his NBA career. That’s just super cool."

Clark may be the first person ever to compare Des Moines to Cleveland, but to each their own. The population of Des Moines is a tick above 200,000, while Cleveland's sits at over 360,000.

Cleveland is a place that needs to take in all the wins and love its receives in stride, and there may not be a bigger endorser in all of college athletics at the moment than one from Clark.

It's a safe bet that Clark's love for Cleveland will only grow if she is able to lead Iowa to a national championship inside the confines of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
