Caitlin Clark Is An Excellent Trash Talker, According to Rival WNBA Coach

Caitlin Clark, serial trash talker?

The WNBA rookie and Indiana Fever star is in the top-20 in points and top-5 in assists, and according to a rival coach, she's one of the top trash talkers in the WNBA too.

Las Vegas Aces head coach Becky Hammon spoke at a press conference with Chicago Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon on Thursday night and spoke about Clark's trash talking skills, as well her closest rival, Angel Reese

"Look, at the end of the day, (Clark and Reese) are really super-skilled, they’re fun to watch," Hammon said. "And they jaw at each other, you know?

"No one talks more crap than Caitlin too. I saw (Angel) and NaLyssa (Smith) get into it the other day. It’s a different generation. I think we talked subtly, but they be talking in your face, which is fine. Let them go. They’re big girls."

Caitlin Clark Gives As Good As She Gets

Clark has already faced an undue amount of physical contact, with a number of players, including Reese, seemingly targeting her specifically on the court. But verbally at least, she seems to be holding her own with the rest of the league.

For the most part, she's let her play do the talking, keeping up a series of excellent performances, even if the rest of her team doesn't always follow suit.

Apparently though, she does do more talking than meets than eye. It's just to the other players.

Clark's averaging 16.2 points per game and 6.6 assists heading into an upcoming matchup with the Phoenix Mercury in Arizona on Sunday afternoon.
